Both our kids are now old enough to go on rides and the last time we went to a theme park (Thomas land) both were apprehensive for almost all the rides. It took quite a while for either of them to get used to any sort of ride with height, speed or anything. Eventually, by the time we were about an hour or so away from going home, they started to get confident enough to go on more rides!
So when we saw that CBeebies land has had a bit of a renovation we thought what better way to continue the theme park adventure for them than take a look at what new rides there are.
Before we had kids we were both big Alton Towers visitors, but after our first was born that put an end to that pretty much immediately (well, about 9 months before). Although we couldn’t really go on the big rides, we decided to make a fun day for the kids by just visiting CBeebies Land.
What rides are at the new CBeebies Land?
The great thing about CBeebies Land is that the kids will know most (if not all) the characters there, so it makes getting them on the rides a little bit easier. What better than getting them a Hey Duggee Adventure badge while meeting Duggee and the squirrels?

New attractions for 2022
2022 has added 3 major new attractions to CBeebies Land, which are:
- Hey Duggee’s Big Adventure Badge – Meet Duggee, play, slide and climb your way around the park to collect your Duggee Adventure Badge.
- Andy’s Adventures Dinosaur Dig – Discover a prehistoric world with Andy searching for fossils and possibly even see some real live dinosaurs.
- JoJo & Gran Gran At Home – Relax on JoJo and Gran Gran’s couch, make calls to the characters, discover secret tunnels and what’s in their fridge.
These join the rest of the CBeebies characters on the following rides and attractions:
- Get Set Go Tree Top Adventure
- Go Jetters Vroomster Zoom Ride
- Octonauts Rollercoaster Adventure
- Peter Rabbit Hippity Hop

Whether it’s taking in the sights and sounds of Mr Tumble’s sensory garden, or watching Bing and Flop, or Iggle Piggle and Upsy Daisy in one of the live shows, your kids will love seeing and interacting with the CBeebies characters.
Where is CBeebies Land located?
CBeebies Land sits within Alton Towers theme park, in Alton, Staffordshire. It’s part of the wider theme park so you get a ticket for the whole park (not just CBeebies Land).
Once you’re within the park, CBeebies Land is easy to find, as once you come through the turnstiles onto Towers Street, it’s just at the bottom of the street on the right-hand side, just past Corner Coffee. No traipsing around the whole park to find it!
What age range is Cbeebies land suitable for?
It’s perfect for kids aged 1 – 6, but parents and grandparents will love it too, especially when the little ones get to see their favourite characters in real life!
Are pushchairs available to hire?
Yes, you can get a stroller from Guest Services, which is located at the top of Towers Street (on the right just as you come into the main entrance).
Hire of the stroller is £7 for a single one and £10 for a double stroller, which is for the day. You also need to provide a £10 deposit (refundable when returned).
If you are a hotel guest you can use a voucher from your voucher booklet for a discount.
Are there baby changing facilities?
Yes, being in Alton Towers there’s lots of facilities, but specifically around CBeebies land you can find the baby changing area next to Justin’s House and one next to Big Fun Showtime
